Event Description

Start the holiday season with a scenic run or walk in this 5th Annual event.

Distances
This event features an 8K (4.97 mile) run, a 5K run/walk and a Kids 700 meter fun run.

Location
Maurie Jacobs Park - Eugene, Oregon.

Directions
In Eugene, take Chambers north, which becomes River Road.  Follow River Road to the third light after the railroad bridge, which is Fir Lane.  Turn right on Fir Lane and proceed to the park.  In Eugene, from the north, take River Road south to Fir Lane and turn left, then proceed to the park. 


Courses

The 8K run starts at Maurie Jacobs Park, follows the bike paths along the Willamette River, crosses the Owosso Bridge, proceeds south to the Greenway Bridge, crosses the bridge and finishes.  The 8K course has been revised - there will no longer be an out-and-back section after coming off of Owosso Bridge.   Click here for an  8K COURSE MAP   PDF.    The 5K course is entirely on the south side of the river.    Click here for the 5K COURSE MAP   PDF.  


Entry Fees

$15 without shirt through December 12 at 12 noon.  $20 without shirt on race day.  The kids fun run is free for kids 10 & under.  Technical long sleeve event shirts are available for $12 - shirts are only guaranteed if ordered by Monday, December 8.  Cotton long sleeve event shirts are available for $8. 


Registration

In person at the Eugene Running Company (116 Oakway Center) through Friday, December 12 at 12 noon. 

Awards
Awards will be presented in the 8K and 5K runs to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three in each age group.  All fun run participants will receive ribbons.  All participants will be eligible for random prize drawings.

14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over


Family Activities
Everyone is sure to have fun running and/or walking, and oh yeah, we might even have an early visit from Santa Claus.
