Event Description
A unique running tradition with three race options: 5K trail, 5K road or 10K road and trail combined. 10K participants run both 5K loops (one road and one trail), with each participant deciding which loop they will run first (that's right, there's some strategy involved).
Distances
This event features a 5K trail run/walk, a 5K road run/walk, or a 10K road and trail combined run/walk.
Location
Dorris Ranch Park - Springfield, Oregon.
Directions
In Springfield, take Main Street to 2nd Street, turn south and proceed 1 mile to the park.
Courses
The 5K trail course is entirely flat on dirt and bark chip paths winding its way through the filbert orchards along the Willamette River. The 5K road course has two hills in the first half, while the second half is flat through a residential neighborhood along the river. The 10K covers both the 5K trail course and the 5K road course, with participants deciding which of the two loops they will do first. Click here for the

Registration
$15 for all events through Friday, March 19, 2010. Add $5 on race day. Long sleeve technical event shirts can be purchased for $12, or cotton long sleeve event shirts for $8 - shirts are only guaranteed if ordered by Monday, March 15, 2010. Online registration will close at 12 noon on Friday, March 19, 2010. In-person registration at Eugene Running Company will close at 12 noon on Friday, March 19, 2010. Packet pickup will be on race day from 8:30am to 9:45am. Entry fees are non-refundable.
Event Shirts
Choose between a long-sleeve technical ($12) or cotton ($8) shirt. Shirts are only guaranteed if ordered by Monday, March 15, 2010.
Awards
Awards will be presented in all three events to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three in each age group. All participants will be eligible for random prize drawings. Stick around for the special Irish awards and Irish trivia questions (good luck - pun intended).
Age Groups
14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over
10K Relay
Form a two-person relay and compete as a team, with one member running the trial loop and the other member running the road loop. Team divisions are: Male, Female and Coed. Team age categories (combined ages of both participants) are: 40&Under, 41-80, 81-120, 121&Over. The top three teams in each division and category will receive awards.
