Event Description
Welcome in the winter season with a rare evening run/walk.  This is a unique event that offers a flat and fast course on scenic terrain and a festive atmosphere.

Distances
This event features a 5K (3.1 miles) run or walk.

Location
Amazon Park - Eugene, Oregon.

Course
The 5K course will start and finish next to the Amazon Park Recreation Center at 27th & Hilyard.  Approximately 60% of the course is on the paved bike path along Amazon Creek, with the other 40% on the smooth bark chip paths of the Adidas Trail (which is well-lit).

NOTE: If the original course is snow-packed, the alternate course will utilize two loops of the Amazon Trail, which is less slippery than the bike path and will have fewer turns - for the alternate course map, CLICK HERE.

Weather
The event will take place regardless of weather conditions.  Every precaution will be taken to create a safe race course, with the removal of snow or ice where possible.  Participants will need to use caution on the turns, where the course might be slippery - the course may also be revised on race day to eliminate difficult turns.  Participants will be able to stay warm before and after the race in the Amazon Park Rec Center.

Entry Fees
$15 w/o shirt through December 19.   Add $5 on race day.   Technical event shirts can be purchased for an additional $10.  Cotton event shirts can be purchased for an additional $6. 

Registration
In person at the Eugene Running Company (116 Oakway Center), through Saturday, December 19 at 12pm, and on race day from 2:30pm to 3:45pm.  Packet pickup will be on race day, Sunday, December 20, from 2:30pm to 3:45pm.   Click here for an ENTRY FORM.  Click here for ONLINE REGISTRATION.

Awards
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three in each age group.  All participants will be eligible for random prize drawings.   To celebrate the season, there will also be unique event awards, including a prize for the least-dressed, the most primal outfit and solstice trivia questions.
